Control gear

Progress was a bit slow recently as I was on holiday. Anyhow, about a week ago, I spied a motor garage shutter controller on Ebay with forward and reverse - bid, won, laughing!
I wanted an electric no volt switch for saftey, and this should do the job. Inside, a genuine amonia blueprint signed off on in 1977 and stamped 1979 was there, with dual contactors, over current trip and a mechanical interlock to prevent both forward and reverse being activated together. Couldn't get any better, or so I thought.
Tried hooking it up today, but couldn't get it to work. After several hours messing about, I noticed the contactor coil said 415V. Applying 240V mains direct to the coil confirmed my dissilusion - no use at all.
For sale: 3 phase forward and reverse contactor switch box, Ideal for garage door, offers.
So I hooked up the mains direct, of course the motor goes the wrong way as that was inevitible, but started to adjust the pulley systems as I had them all to pieces fitting the new belt. I have slow speed sorted, but the lever doesnt go as far across, and the chuck is not as fast either. Ill worry about that later, need to get started machining. So tomorrow get teh motor going the right way, and start setting the crank pieces up and performing trial cuts.
Also need to find the cross slide slamp bolt as I have put it somewhere safe....
